A new villain joined the cast of Agents of SHIELD in early August, but he is no Kree. Instead, Coulson's team will face off with the Absorbing Man in the season 2 premiere.

Teen Wolf's Brian Patrick Wade will jump into the live action series this fall in the form of Carl "Crusher" Creel, a.k.a the Absorbing Man. Canonically granted powers by the mischievous Loki, Creel ditched his life as an inmate when he was suddenly found he could absorb the physical properties of whatever he touched.

The Marvel series likes to keep its plotlines locked up tighter than Fort Knox, but the cast can't film everything on a sound stage. Viewers were granted a first look at Creel thanks to a bit of public filming in mid-August (see video below).

Bald, muscular, and bearing a blue arm, it was originally believed that Wade was set to play a Kree. Now that Creel's involvement has been confirmed, however, it appears the baddie was merely utilizing his own powers. It is unknown what exactly Creel touched to make his arm take on a blue-gray hue, but it does look like someone will attempt to assassinate him during the same scene.
