The Mentalist's newest recruit won't shy away from the action during season 7.

Agent Michelle Vega (Josie Loren) will join Agent Abbott's team this winter, and the rookie will jump in with both feet. By time episode 2 roles around, Loren's character will be in enough danger to require a stunt double.

To take on this task, The Mentalist brought in Natalie Padilla. A Mentalist vet from season 6 and 5, Padilla also stunted for Loren throughout her Make It or Break It run.

"From leotards to guns & handcuffs, she'll always be my stunt double," Loren tweeted while filming "The Graybar Hotel." "Natalie Padilla] kicked ass on @mentalist_cbs today! #shemakesmelookgood."

Vega will enter the storyline in the wake of Kim Fischer's (Emily Swallow) departure, and her by-the-book ways will quickly put her at odds with Patrick Jane (Simon Baker).

"She's never heard of Jane, knows nothing of his methods or past, and casts a skeptical eye on his unorthodox, rule-busting ways," TV Line reported.
