While all eyes are on the drama surrounding VH1's Love & Hip Hop Atlanta stars, a famous cast member of the original Love & Hip Hop installment has spoken out about claims that he beat up his girlfriend.

Joe Budden of Love & Hip Hop New York has been accused of physically abusing his girlfriend by hitting her head against a car dashboard, TMZ reported Thursday. He responded to his fans via Twitter Thursday to make it clear the allegations are absolutely false.

He told one follower who "prayed" the accusations aren't true, "thx for the prayers Love.. & no, they couldn't be further fro the truth."

The Slaughterhouse rapper also came for a fan who laughed at the rumors that he hit his girlfriend.

"no Joey did NOT!" he wrote.

He also answered a fan who asked why his girlfriend was lying on him and wondered if it was because he broke up with her.

"Or needs the attention. Honestly I'm not sure."

While he isn't certain as to why the story would be spread about him, he did seem to blame it on the way things ended with the woman.

He wrote, "Messy break ups are so..Well Messy".

The site also released graphic pictures Thursday. The story is that he took her out of a restaurant in New York City, pulled her to his car and choked her before slamming her head in the car. But he allegedly didn't stop there. Instead he took her to his home in New Jersey and continued.

Police are looking into the alleged incident. Story developing...
