The Fosters recently aired its second season for the summer finale, and now questions are going around on if there will be a third season or not.

Callie & The Quinns Chatter

On Thursday, Carter Matt pointed out some theories on the series possibly receiving a renewal- what it comes down to is that no one knows yet. However, one shouldn't lose hope since there are some positivities that increase the chance of the show returning sometime soon.

According to the site, the ratings for The Fosters outpaced Switched at Birth for the last few episodes, and that show has been renewed for another year. So that creates some hope that The Fosters will be given another chance too. The show lags behind Pretty Little Liars, which isn't surprising since that show has become a massive hit, but The Fosters is almost in the same place where Chasing Life is, which also has a chance of continuing.

Chatter On Callie's Panic Attacks

As of now, it looks like an official answer won't be made until the winter ratings come in. It seems that there are already some episodes coming for that, and if those do well, then viewers might be able to count on seeing more of the family who goes through a wide range of emotions.

Rosie O'Donnell, who's appeared in a few episodes, recently told Entertainment Tonight that she would love to return to the series and she's "very proud to be a part of it."
