The season finale of The Musketeers is about to get extra scary and dramatic when the characters' differences might put someone on the verge of death.

On Friday, TV Line posted a sneak peek of Athos as he holds Milady hostage. The musketeers run out to help her, but Athos has his hands wrapped around her throat. Porthos begs for him to let her go, but Athos says that Milady is a murderer.

"And she is the Cardinal's spy," he adds in a intensely aggressive whisper.

He then says that Milady is his wife as he continues to hold his face against her head, keeping his hand tight around her neck.

This leaves the musketeers to just stare at each other in confusion, not sure how to handle the situation of when someone is in a death grip. One of them tells Athos that he's drunk and to release her. Then Milady speaks for herself and begs D'Artagnan to help her, causing the others to wonder if there's some connection in there especially since Athos asks him if he knows her.

This is when things get more dramatic among the group when D'Artagnan is asked if they were lovers, which they were before. Porthos is not impressed and even pushes the musketeer. But unfortunately for D'Artagnan, he might not be able to call himself one of those anymore if he decides to help Milady.

This leaves the question on if the others will continue to be "all for one" and what D'Artagnan will choose.

The Musketeers airs on Sundays at 9 p.m. ET on BBC America.
