Rock singer Avril Lavigne was photographed being more than a friendly with a female friend.

The 27-year-old, who was enjoying a vacation in Mexico, was caught kissing and embracing a busty female friend in a bikini throughout the weekend.

Lavigne announced her breakup with boyfriend Brody Jenner back in January.

Daily Mail obtained exclusive photos of Lavigne in several photos that indicate a romantic relationship withe her female friend.

The photos also show Lavigne wearing one of her green Abbey Dawn bikinis when she went snorkeling in Cortez in Mexico. She wore a mask before diving off of a luxury yacht for a smaller dinghy boat.

Avril's two-piece bikini revealed her many tattoos, which includes a skull and crossbones, a star and more. In May 2010, Lavigne and ex-boyfriend Brody Jenner got matching tattoos of the word "f***" on their ribs.

Lavigne appeared in a cover story for Inked magazine, where she showed off her many tattoos including "Abbey Dawn" on her left forearm, "XXV" and the star on her right arm. In July 2010, Lavigne had her then boyfriend's name, "Brody", tattooed beneath her right breast.

When Lavigne first gained publicity, she was known for her tomboyish style- in particular her necktie-and-tank-top combinations. The baggy clothes, skater shoes or Converse sneakers, and wristbands she wore was a look inspired by skaters. In response to her fashion and musical influences, the media would call her the "pop punk princess". Press and fans regarded her as the "anti-Britney", 

Lavigne has a junior brand clothing line called Abbey Dawn. The brand is named after Lavigne's childhood nickname, Abbey Dawn, and is designed by Lavigne herself.

Lavigne had six number-one singles worldwide, including "Complicated," "Sk8er Boi", "I'm with You," "My Happy Ending," "Nobody's Home," and "Girlfriend."

Lavigne is divorced; she was married to Deryck Whibley, the lead singer and guitarist for the band Sum 41, for more than 3 years.
