There are still no suspects in the shooting of 49-year-old rap mogul Marion "Suge" Knight, though recent reports suggest he may have been the intended target during the incident, which put two other people in the hospital during a pre-party for the MTV Video Music Awards.

Shooting At Chris Brown's MTV VMA Awards Pre-Show

On Sunday, Knight was rushed to the hospital after being shot inside the 1OAK nightclub on West Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles, Calif. at around 1:30 a.m. While all three victims are expected to be all right, the incident is far from over as police continue to look for suspects. They did empty the club on Sunday and take statements, but some still got out before they arrived and it is likely the shooter was one of them.

"At this point we don't have any suspects," declared Nicole Nishinda from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department in CBS Los Angeles on Sunday night, "And that's why we are encouraging the public to come forward."

Arrest Suggests Suge Knight Was Involved In Murder Of Tupac Shakur

Host Chris Brown was the celebrity advertised on wall-length poster on the side of club, though it's possible Brown was not the intended victim given Knight's history.

This is not they first time Knight has been shot in relation to an MTV award ceremony. According to Fox, Knight was shot in 2005 during a pre-show party for the MTV Awards in Miami, Fla.

Known for making more than a few enemies in the music industry for allegedly using force and intimidation, Knight has been a prominent figure for the last 20 years and it's possible the shooter could have known Knight personally or professionally.

A representative for Knight has not released a statement at this time.
