As Julia Roberts went up to stage to receive her award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series for her role as Vice President Selina Meyer in HBO's Veep at the 2014 Emmys, Bryan Cranston intercepted her and stole a passionate kiss with the star.

Cranston was also nominated for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series for his role in Breaking Bad. The hilarious moment was complimented on stage by Dreyfus as she tried to place Cranston, recalling his guest role in Seinfeld back in the day. Cranston played a sleazy dentist on the sit-com show, but he never shared screen space with Dreyfus. After planting the kiss on Dreyfus and taking her by surprise, Cranston is seen sitting back in his seat, rubbing his lips with his fingers.

Seth Meyers hosted the ceremony which took place at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles, California, on the night of August 25.
