Mirada Lambert may not have been able to attend Monday's tribute to We Were Us, but the country singer did send in a video lending her support.

The event was held at the Music City Tippler bar in Nashville, Tenn. on Monday so that fans could celebrate We Were Us becoming a number-one hit. There to join in the festivities was Lambert's duet partner Keith Urban, as well as songwriters Nicole Galyon, Jon Nite and Jimmy Robbins.

According to CMT, the event gave out free drink tickets and provided an in depth discussion between Urban and the writers.

Miranda Lambert Opts For Shorter 'Platinum' Hairdo

As for Lambert's video, the singer declared that she was happy for "having played a little part" in making the song a hit and that it "should be celebrated."

Not to be outdone in terms of modesty, Urban followed up Lambert's speech by claiming that Lambert had in fact played a major role in the song's success.

"Miranda's face and voice were the first things that popped into my mind," explained Urban, recalling how he'd felt after first reading the lyrics. He also appreciated that Lambert came in to perform with him in the studio instead of recording her part separately.

Even with Lambert's absence, Urban and the writers performed an acoustic version of the song at the close of the event.

We Were Us is a track off Urban's 2013 album Fuse. Lambert is still touring for her new album Platinum, which came out June 3.
