Parenthood will return this fall and the new commercial - which aired during Monday night's Emmy Awards - gives a bit of insight into the final season.

Parenthood Cast Celebrates Final Season Renewal

The commercial opened with some typical Braverman moments, like the family enjoying a candle-light dinner, Sarah (Lauren Graham) giving Hank (Ray Romano) a hug and Zeek (Craig T. Nelson) empowering Drew (Miles Heizer).

"You are an extraordinary young man," he tells him.

But then, there's a major shocker. At the end of the commercial, fans discover that Amber's (Mae Whitman) home pregnancy test was positive. Amber is seen in a doctor's office looking at her sonogram. Ryan (Matt Lauria), with whom she reunited last season for a brief period, is in for a surprise. (Check out the trailer here.)

"For a show I'm so personally invested in ... I think of it as a gift to know that we get to tell this last part of the story," executive producer Jason Katims said at the Television Critics Association's fall previews, TVGuide.com reported. "It's a great feeling to have these last 13 episodes."

Katims also explained that next season will include elements that may surprise fans. "One of the things I wanted to do with the season was to find one larger story that influences everybody on the show," the website also reported. "It's a huge challenge for this family and a kind we haven't seen before."

Parenthood's final season premieres on Thursday, Sept. 25, at 10 p.m. EST on NBC.
