American Horror Story star Jessica Lange is looking forward to the upcoming fourth season of the series Freak Show the most out of any other season.

After winning the Emmy Monday night for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Miniseries or Movie for her role as Fiona Goode in Coven, Lange offered a brief tease of Freak Show, set to air this fall.

"I'm actually looking forward to this season," Lange said backstage at the Emmys. "This season is going to be the most extraordinary that we've done. If it can all come together and if we can keep on track, it's going to be something really, really special."

In Freak Show, Lange is slated to play a German expatriate named Elsa Mars who owns a troupe of "freaks" living in Jupiter, Fla. Set in 1952, the season will center on the freak show trying to stay alive as a new threat comes to town.

While it has been widely reported that Freak Show will be Lange's final season with the show, a reporter at the Emmys asked her about a rumor that she would actually be staying on beyond Freak Show.

"Who told you that?" she said coyly without divulging any new information on the topic. Based on her reaction, it seems that there may still be the potential for Lange to stay with the show after Season 4.

American Horror Story: Freak Show is set to premiere Wednesday, Oct. 8 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on FX.
