Following their individual relationship problems, two Port Charles residents could grow closer in an unexpected way on General Hospital.

Patrick Refuses to Discuss Things With Sabrina

Sam (Kelly Monaco) and Patrick (Jason Thompson) have become quite the investigative team together, figuring out that Rafe had been the one who drove Patrick's car off the road and caused the death of his infant son, and they were putting their heads together to also try and figure out what Nina (Michelle Stafford) was hiding.

Their investigations have taken some interesting turns as well however-as they've learned that Rafe was put up to running Patrick off the road, and Patrick found his wife, Robin (Kimberly McCullogh) at a hospital nearby. As a result of all their investigating, the two called off their relationships with Robin and Silas (Michael Easton) as well. And now, though their night initially began by their drowning their individual sorrows, the two could grow closer while hanging out at a bar together.

"I think things just got interesting," Sam says to Patrick in a preview clip for the Wednesday, August 27 episode.

Sam has no idea how true her words are though, as Silas will receive an unexpected proposition from Nina-who is secretly scheming to destroy her husband's life for cheating on her with Ava (Maura West) and having a child with her over 20 years ago-before Nina went into her long coma and was presumed dead.

After initially being deterred by the news that Ava was pregnant again-meaning Nina couldn't harm her-she began finding new ways to scheme-and may try to trap Silas from being in happy relationships with anyone else by proposing they have a child together as well.

"I want a baby desperately," she says to him in the clip.

General Hospital airs Monday-Friday at 2 p.m. on ABC.
