Farrah Abraham has boasted an upcoming "Christian-based" film role, but new reports indicate that the role won't be in a religion-oriented film.

According to The Ashley's Reality Roundup last week, the former Teen Mom star will be starring in the upcoming horror flick Axeman II: Overkill.

Abraham will be playing the unstable Evangelical Fannie Ray Baker, and director Joston Theney is confident that the reality star is perfect for the role.

"The appearance and the feeling I wanted to invoke the moment she [Fannie Ray] steps on screen, Farrah has that in spades…" explained Theney. "She is a very talented actress and I can't wait for audiences to see it!"

Abraham has gained notoriety through her sex tape scandal, capitalizing on her fame to publish a trilogy of erotic novels, produce her own sex toy line, and even open up a restaurant.

Theney, however, claims that he was not influenced by her past. "I knew who Farrah was, but I didn't know her personally, I couldn't hate her or love her," he insisted. "I knew could be great as Fannie Ray but that was about it."

The premise of the new Axeman film is simple: A group of Christian couples are headed to a retreat when their party is attacked by the "axeman."

Production for the film is scheduled to begin outside Los Angeles, Calif. on September 29. Axeman II: Overkill is looking at a 2015 release date.
