The archer spent the majority of The Avengers under Loki's control, and when he didn't come to, most of his effort was devoted to fighting off Earth's latest invaders.

The Avengers: Age of Ultron will change this, however, and Marvelites can get a look at Clint Barton (Jeremy Renner) battling an unseen enemy in set photos. Despite the fact that the super-powered film wrapped filming in early August, new photos are still hitting the web.

This latest image features Hawkeye and director Joss Whedon during an Italy-based action sequence that also involves the Maximoff siblings - Quicksilver (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) and Scarlett Witch (Elizabeth Olsen).

Luckily for Barton fans, this battle won't be the only time Hawkeye will flex his bow.

"[It] was important in the characters you haven't seen [since the first Avengers movie] -- Hulk being one of them and Hawkeye being one of them -- [that] Ultron will make up for it," explained Kevin Feige, Marvel Studios' president of production, according to The Hollywood Reporter. "They have very big parts in Age of Ultron."
