Harry Connick Jr. had his own homecoming Qednesday. He is reported to have arrived in Smokey Mary, an engine used in part of the Krewe Of Orpheus parade. The float featured Connick, Jr. and Shamar Allen and the True Orleans Brass Band. The arrival of Connick, Jr. will air early next year when American Idol starts back up.

As for auditions, the judges were not overly impressed with the city, stating that there was nothing really mind blowing that happened. A few outstanding singers had been found on Tuesday, with the judges hoping for better performances on the second day. Lopez told Nola, "He's [Connick, Jr.] so proud of being from New Orleans. He's such that person. He has such high expectations for the talent here. It's been a great trip."

After the auditions Tuesday night, Keith Urban played a secret and secluded show to 350 fans in New Orleans House Of Blues. The fans there were in for a treat, with most of the tickets being distributed to his fan club or by the local country radio station WNOE-FM. Urban grasped the city's vibe, inserting New Orleans inspired ad-libs into many of his tracks. The show also went extremely well for one fan, aspiring musician Juliet Kalifeh. Urban needed someone to stand in for Miranda Lambert, and asked the crowd, in which he found Kalifeh. She impressed Urban, who gave her hugs and even a bow to show his respect to the singer.
