Actress Kathryn Prescott landed a role in The Dovekeepers!

Cote de Pablo Talks About Her Decision To Leave NCIS

The Finding Carter star will appear on the CBS four-hour miniseries as Aziza, a teenaged tomboy.

"Blessed with expert archery skills, Aziza disguises herself in her brother's armor to join the male warriors of Masada - even managing to fool her lover Amram (played by 90210's Diego Boneta)," TVLine.com reported.

Executive Producer Gary Glasberg's Open Letter To Fans

The show is based on Alice Hoffman's 2011 historical novel of the same name, which tells the true story of 900 Jewish people who the Romans forced to evacuate to Masada, an ancient fortification.

Prescott, 23, will join former NCIS actress Cote de Pablo. De Pablo will star in the show as Shirah, a "sensual, mysterious and fiercely independent single mother with uncanny insights and a quiet and mysterious power," according to CBS.

"We are thrilled to have Cote de Pablo starring in The Dovekeepers," executive producer Roma Downey said in a statement. "Her talent, strength and beauty will light up the screen in the important role of Shirah."

This is the first TV role for the actress since she unexpectedly departed from NCIS last year. De Pablo played agent Ziva David for eight seasons and her character, which debuted during season 3, had been a crucial part of the investigative team led by Leroy Jethro Gibbs and Tony DiNozzo.

Yet, there's no hard feelings between NCIS executives and the actress. "We've been saying it all along - we're thrilled that this Dovekeepers project has come up for her," showrunner Gary Glasberg told TVLine.com.

The Dovekeepers is expected to premiere in 2015.
