With the return of The Originals this fall on The CW, fans can expect higher stakes and bigger fights.

Things Get Chaotic On The Set Of 'The Originals' During Stunt Sequence

Even with the larger scope, showrunners are making sure that everything still looks good on camera. While director Matt Hastings shot some footage out in the bayou on Thursday with actress Phoebe Tonkin (Hayley) for episode 206, cinematographer "Jonesey" promised some great images from their indoor set.

"My 'A' boys helping me make pretty pictures on #TheOriginals #setlife #cinematography," he tweeted on Thursday along with a photo of some behind-the-camera action.

"Mission accomplished," replied producer Michael Narducci, who had spent a fair amount of the day out in the swamp with Hastings. Earlier in the day Hastings had tweeted a photo of him and Narducci on set, referring to their location as "Hotlanta" and presenting a plea for some air conditioning. Neither Hastings nor Narducci divulged how long they would be filming in the swamp or what significance it has to Hayley's storyline, though it is likely related to her werewolf background.

The Originals takes place in New Orleans, but the show films in Atlanta, Ga. for logistical and financial reasons. Most people, including a number of journalists who sit down to interview the cast, do not notice the difference.

The Originals returns to The CW for a second season on a new night Monday, October 6 at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
