Doctor Who's Twelve will come face to face with his most notorious enemy during "Into the Dalek," but this particular pepper pot won't utter the classic Dalek threat.

A broken Dalek will swap "Exterminate!" for a cry of help.

"A Dalek so damaged it's turned good," the Doctor (Peter Capaldi) mutters in a new clip from BBC News. "How could I resist?"

Unfortunately, while Twelve contemplates patching up the killing machine, the rest of it's brethren won't abandon their desire to see the Doctor wiped from the face of the universe.

"This story puts the Doctor in the most dangerous place possible for that type of Doctor to be," teased showrunner Steven Moffat.

Penned by Phil Ford ("The Waters of Mars"), "Into the Dalek" will take viewers "behind enemy lines" like never before while packing in enough explosions and danger to keep the Doctor on his toes.

"We're doing a really good Dalek one by saying they're nasty," Moffat told Cult Box. "It's actually quite a gritty Dalek adventure."
