Downton Abbey Season 5 has an official trailer for the new year and it's something that fans will not want to miss.

Will Lady Mary Find A New Romance On 'Downton Abbey' Season 5?

The trailer that was released on Saturday shows a blend of drama taking place with moments of favorite characters as well as some newcomers, including Richard E. Grant. The preview starts off with shots of the abbey and the bells as a car pulls up. A waiter can also be seen holding a tray with a glass as the voice-over says, "I feel a shaking of the ground I stand on."

Maggie Smith's character can also be seen as she slowly pushes herself off her chair to stand and everyone else does the same.

Is 'Downton Abbey' Taking On A Different Style?

Lady Edith mentions how the world is changing as some scandalous moments are viewed. Two people are spotted in bed together while a grandchild is about to be stolen. People will also stick up for themselves as others demand that if someone has something to say, then it should be said.

A certain character admits she has a "bad secret" while a fire takes place, causing the characters to hopefully save the others. Servants will also apparently be seen as human beings as Tom takes two children in his arms and runs away, possibly due to the place literally being caught on fire.

Richard E. Grant's character also admits that he finds everything about Downton to be "beautiful."
