The cast of FOX's sleeper-hit comedy series The Mindy Project continues to pull in some big names for its third season lineup of guest stars-and the list now includes mega-producer Shona Rhimes and Fargo breakout Allison Tolman.

Rhimes' guest-arc was confirmed on August 27, and The Hollywood Reporter says it will be a one-episode deal, though specific details are being kept under wraps. The only information that has leaked about the spot is that Rhimes will play herself.

And though details are being kept mum about her appearance, it hasn't stopped the acclaimed showrunner-who produced ABC's entire Thursday night lineup of Grey's Anatomy, Scandal and new show How To Get Away With Murder-from tweeting about her upcoming appearance and possibly showing off her comedic chops.

"Shh. Nobody tell @mindykaling that I can neither act nor appear lifelike on camera. NO ONE STOP THIS DREAM FROM HAPPENING! #dreamsDOcometrue," she posted a day after the news broke.

She won't be the only new face on the series however, and the news about Tolman's spot broke just one day after Rhimes' casting was announced.

E! News reports that Tolman, a breakout from FX's Fargo, will appear on two episodes of the show's third season, and will portray a romance novelist named Abby Berman who made a mistake of going on a blind date with Adam Pally's Peter.

Kaling herself had fun with this announcement, teasing that things could get sexual between the two characters on her twitter.

"Very excited the wonderful @Allison_Tolman's coming to #themindyproject to be romanced, wined, dined, and yes perhaps 69'd by Peter Prentice," she wrote.

Tolman responded in kind, saying she was glad to find out what was ins tore for her character.

"@mindykaling @adampally-Delighted Ms. Kaling has released THIS particular teaser. #IllSettleFor66Honestly #AdamIsLittleSpoonObvs," she wrote.

The Mindy Project season 3 premieres Tuesday, September 16 at 9:30 p.m. on FOX.
