Novelist Craig Johnson Dishes On 'Longmire' Books & TV Series

"Hey FOLD I hear there's major interest in #Longmire at a few places," tweeted star Lou Diamond Phillips (Henry) on Sunday evening. "Keep up the drum beat & battle cry! Keep supporting #LongLiveLongmire!"

Last Thursday Phillips went on Twitter to mourn the cancellation of the crime drama on A&E. "Shocked but sadly not surprised by @AETV decision," he admitted. "An opportunity to find a better fit. Show your support by tweeting #LongLiveLongmire".

'Longmire' Ends Season 3 With Major Cliffhanger On A&E

Actress Katee Sackhoff (Victoria), who is still grieving after having to put her dog down earlier this week, joined the plea to fans on Sunday. "Coming out of my missing Meatball coma for one reason and one reason only… #LongLiveLongmire" she tweeted alongside a collection photographs that included her dearly departed dog and some set photos from the television series.

Fans were shocked last week when the series, which was the highest-rated scripted program on A&E, was not renewed for a fourth season. The fans themselves had even begun a petition to keep the series alive.

At the present time, Longmire will not be airing a fourth season, though it's still possible for the series to be picked up by another network in time to begin production for a 2015 premiere.
