It was believed that they were married August 30 in New York-giving Donnie Wahlberg and Jenny McCarthy the intimate ceremony they wanted when they truly married one day later outside of Chicago!

Mark Wahlberg Not Attending Brother Donnie's Wedding--Find Out Why!

Though some were able to figure out the true location of the nuptials and leak pics of the affair, many believed the couple was getting married in New York, virtually without their family members in attendance, and while Donnie's brother Mark truly was not at the couple's wedding, reports of other family members, including Donnie's mother Alma not attending, were proven false.

News that the couple was planning to wed in Chicago first broke the day of the ceremony, with Radar Online reporting that not only had McCarthy and Wahlberg been seen in the area that weekend, but so had Wahlberg's mother and brother Paul and Jim, as well as his New Kids on The Block band mates Jordan Knight and Danny Wood.

Jenny McCarthy & Donnie Wahlberg Marrying In 'Flashy' New York Affair?

The couple said "I Do" on Sunday evening at the historic Hotel Baker in St. Charles, Illinois, a Chicago suburb just minutes away from McCarthy's Geneva home.

"Everyone around town has been talking about the wedding," a local resident told the website. "The hotel is closed to the public all weekend."

According to People, not only were all members (except for Mark) of Wahlberg's family in attendance at the event, but Knight, Wood, Jonathon Knight and Joey McIntyre, as well as McCarthy's fellow recently-axed View co-host Sherri Shepard were all in attendance.

The couple had emphasized several times since becoming engaged in April that they wanted their wedding to be small and intimate, releasing very few details about the affair. McCarthy most famously defended the decision to keep things small after reports claimed she and her cousin, Melissa McCarthy, were feuding over her decision not to invite her to the wedding.

Jenny lashed out about the story after it was reported in late July, saying it was "hurtful" that such a thing was said.

"They also say that I've 'banned' Melissa from my upcoming wedding, which is also ridiculous," she told People Magazine July 26.  "Donnie and I are planning a very intimate ceremony that will involve a very small group of our closest friends and that's it-not a huge production with hundreds of friends and extended families."

"It's hurtful that people make up stories that pit not just families, but specifically women, against each other," she added.
