As filming for the third chapter of Insidious is through, and it is known that Elise (Lin Shaye) will be playing an important role in this movie, we wonder if her loyal assitants Specs (Leigh Whannell) and Tucker (Angus Sampson) will also be returning.

What begs the question is the fact that Whannell, who played Specs, is also directing the movie this time around. Previously Whannell was only a writer of the films as James Wan directed, which freed him up to act in them. Now that he is helming the project, it could affect his availability. That being said, Specs and Tucker have always been Elise's main guys and also helped add an element of hilarity in the film. Even from the stills or behind-the-scenes photos from filming, these two character are missing.

Dermot Mulroney and Stefanie Scott star in the movie. Blum (Blumhouse Productions) is co-producing the third film with Peli (Paranormal Activity).

Here's the official movie synopsis:

"In Insidious: Chapter 3, a twisted new tale of terror begins for a teenage girl and her family, predating the haunting of the Lambert family in the earlier movies and revealing more mysteries of the otherworldly realm The Further."

Insidious: Chapter 2 was released on Sept. 13 and topped the U.S. box office scoring $41.1 million over in its opening weekend. The film stars Patrick Wilson, Rose Byrne, Lin Shaye, Ty Simpkins, and Barbara Hershey reprised their roles from  the first film in the series. 

The first film followed the story of the haunted Lambert family, whose son inexiplicably enters a comatose state and becomes a vessel for demons. In Insidious: Chapter 2, the married couple try to explore the secrets that tie them to the paranormal world and the demons that possessed their son.

Insidious 3 will release on May 29, 2015.
