DC's baddies are looking good in new photos for Gotham's series premiere.

'Supernatural' Jensen Ackles On 'Difficult' Transition To Demon Dean, 'Womanizing Party Animal'

As the new Fox venture opens, Bruce Wayne's (David Mazouz) parents have only just been gunned down in an alley, and the future Batman has nothing but Detective Jim Gordon's (Ben McKenzie) promise that their murderer will be brought to justice.

Just as Gordon has yet to become the Inspector, the young Wayne child is far from being old enough to don the cape and cowl. As the world of Gotham unfolds, viewers will be introduced to a young Catwoman (Camren Bicondova), Penguin (Robin Lord Taylor), The Riddler (Cory Michael Smith), and Poison Ivy (Clara Foley) as they plot out their first crimes.

"There are so many stories to tell, so many great characters. If you don't see the character that you love in that episode, you'll see it him in the next one -- because it's a tapestry," said series creator Bruno Heller, according to IGN. "We have to tell so many different stories. The fun of it is in finding the storyline you like, but then there's a lot of other stuff going on."
