Even with a busy shooting schedule, producer Christopher King is still sharing exclusive photos from the set of Showtime's Penny Dreadful.

Lots Of Snow Coming To 'Penny Dreadful' In New Episodes

"On a location recce (aka 'location scout' for the Americans) for @SHO_Penny #PennyDreadful #ittakesavillage," tweeted King on Monday.

The producer proved that choosing a location for the series is no small affair. The accompanying picture showed two dozen crew members standing outside in a large courtyard. Most of them were wearing jackets and nearly all of them appeared to be taking notes.

The surrounding building certainly looked in keeping with the time period for the Victorian drama, with perhaps a hint of the grandiose with large archways and a few columns.

Most of King's photos from August showed indoor set construction, fabric selections and even skull manufacturing. With production moving outdoors, it looks like the second season of Showtime's supernatural series is finally beginning to take shape.

Season 1 ended with the death of Brona Croft (Billie Piper), Frankenstein's (Harry Treadaway) decision to help Caliban (Rory Kinnear), and Sir Malcolm's (Timothy Dalton) acceptance of his daughter's death. Ethan Chandler (Josh Hartnett) was revealed as a werewolf and Vanessa Ives (Eva Green) was faced with the acceptance or rejection of her darker side as she went to visit a priest for guidance. With plenty of avenues to explore in future episodes, showrunners will have their hands full as the begin production this month.

Penny Dreadful returns to Showtime for a second season in 2015.
