Radiohead are in the midst of recording a new album and reminding fans with atmospheric sounds and otherworldly drawings.

Radiohead Stage Collapse Kills One: Complete Destruction as Hanging Structure Falls

The speculation can be drawn from the band updating their seven-month-old tablet app. PolyFauna was released in February and featured audio from sessions recording their last album, The King Of Limbs. Now the App has new drawings which when drawn over by the user spawn atmospheric music to be played in the background.

The band is correlating the app update with their return to the studio, which is now, the month of September. Guitarist Johnny Greenwood stated in an interview with BBC (reported by Billboard), "We're going to start up in September, playing, rehearsing and recording and see how it's sounding." The app update begs one question, are the sounds part of a rehearsal or a potential new song?
