One Direction has been touring all over the United States and Harry Styles showed his support for one town.

During the band's Wednesday concert in St. Louis, Styles decided to wear a Michael Sam jersey for the big event. The St. Louis Rams tweeted Thursday, "Check out @onedirection's @Harry_Styles rocking a @MichaelSamNFL #Rams jersey at the Edward Jones Dome last night."

Sam was just released from the Rams after not making their practice squad. Rams head coach Jeff Fisher said that the openly gay player was released for strictly "football reasons."

When One Direction hasn't been busy touring, the band has been trying to record their fourth album. "I think it's going to be a little bit more edgy," Niall Horan said about the fourth album on The Today Show (via MTV). "But obviously we feel like we've got some really good songs and we are happy."

Liam Payne also said that the boy band had written almost every song on the next album, too. "Our fans are so amazing," Payne said, "and it's amazing to play to a crowd that genuinely loves you."

The band's next stop is on Thursday, September 11 and Friday, September 12 in Pasadena, CA at the Rose Bowl after a brief break for vacation. Horan tweeted after Chicago's show, "Holiday time ! First half of the American tour done! It's been great so far !"
