Dr. Lecter (Mads Mikkelsen) fled the states after his "Mizumono" massacre, but the chef will be on the look out for new ingredients while he's on the lam in Europe. Unfortunately for him, some local Italians may be a little more intuitive than his American friends.

"Although the [Hannibal and Bedelia] poses as husband and wife while Hannibal stalks a new victim, it won't be long before one of the locals discovers the murderous truth about Dr. Lecter," teased TV Guide. "Even worse, I hear Bedelia could be the reason the cat gets out of the bag!"

Looks like Bedelia (Gillian Anderson) may not be a fan of her pal's deadly desires after all. Viewers will have to wait until the premiere to find out why Dr. Du Maurier really boarded that trans-Atlantic flight with her patient.

"The answers to exactly why Bedelia Du Maurier is on a plane to France with Hannibal Lecter is all part of the first episode of Season 3, which will essentially function as a new pilot for a new series because everything's different," said series creator Bryan Fuller, according to TV Guide.
