Who Is T.J. Jackson? Former Kim Kardashian Lover Granted Guardianship of Michael Jackson's Children

T.J. Jackson, Michael Jackson's nephew, has been granted temporary guardianship of the late King of Pop's three children - Prince, Paris and Blanket.

Jackson's mother, Katherine Jackson, had been the children's guardian since Michael's death, but she has not been with the children for more than a week.

T.J. Jackson appeared in court earlier Wednesday, stating that he had spoken with Katherine over the phone. He reported that she seemed not to be herself and was also slurring her words.

Since the news broke there has been a flurry of interest into who is T.J. Jackson? Michael Jackson's nephew was born on July 16, 1978, as Tito Joe Jackson. He is the youngest son of Michael's brother Tito Jackson and Delores "Dee Dee" Jackson.

T.J. Jackson made fame by starring as part of boy band 3T alongside his two older brothers, Toriano Adaryll Jackson II and Taryll Adren Jackson.

T.J. Jackson is said to have dated and bedded a young Kim Kardashian in the early 1990's. Kim Kardashian came out to tell Oprah last month in an interview that T.J. had been her first love interest, and gave her backing to him by saying he had a good relationship with the children.

"TJ was the closest to Michael and his kids," Kardashian told TMZ. She also said that he had a "father-like" relationship with Michael's three children.

Kardashian said, "He's a very honest and trustworthy person and everyone knows he'll do the right thing."

T.J. started dating his wife, Frances, after he ended his relationship with Kim. He married Frances in 2007 and the couple has 3 kids together.

Michael Jackson's three siblings, Randy, Jermaine and Janet Jackson, allegedly ambushed the home of Katherine Jackson on Monday night, according to reports, and reportedly attempted to take Michael's kids away from their grandmother. A scuffle quickly broke out and police were even called to attend the incident.

Sheriff's spokesman Steve Whitmore later confirmed that a disagreement had occurred, according to ABC News.
