Katy Perry and John Mayer Rumored To Dating

Katy Perry's divorce from Russell Brand was finalized only weeks ago and multiple sources have already reported rumors that Katy Perry and John Mayer might be a new item.

A new US Weekly report said the two were seen being affectionate, holding hands and "acting like a couple." They had a public night out last week at Hollywood's Soho House and had a pizza date at her house the following night, according to Hollywood Life.

The two singers might be "innocently flirting," like Hollywood News is guessing, but they do have a past of getting pretty close to having a relationship.

Back in 2010, E! News reported that Perry and Mayer exchanged "flirty tweets and texts" before meeting for the first time at Gold Bar in New York.

The two hung out after Mayer performed with Jay-Z at a Madison Square Garden performance, after which he asked fellow concertgoer Perry to meet up that evening.

"John thought she was so hot and fun and was into her," the insider recounted to the magazine."They were so flirty and all over each other that night at the bar, they really liked each other. Their personalities just clicked and they were flirting and dancing and it was on."

However, before their relationship was able to develop any further, Brand entered the picture and Perry was smitten. 

Perry's ex-husband is now dating Isabella Brewster.
