It turns out that former Twilight couple Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson are making a connection with each other that involves working for the same director.

Kristen Stewart Reveals Something She Had To Be 'Aware Of'

On Thursday, Indiewire posted an interview with Olivier Assayas, the director of Clouds of Sils Maria, which Stewart stars in along with Juliet Binoche and Chloe Grace Moretz. The director dished on Stewart and how she is able to live freely when it comes to acting.

"I'm extremely grateful and admiring of Kristen, in the sense that she can do more or less what she wants- I mean, she has a lot of options," Assayas said. "That's the least one can say. And she's doing indie films. She wants to remain part of that world. She's taking risks, trying things, and when she spends two months in Europe with a bunch of weird French filmmakers, she's completely cut off from her world."

Did Robert Pattinson 'Purposely' Try To Hurt Kristen Stewart?

As it turns out, Assayas' next film Idol's Eye will co-star Stewart's ex-boyfriend Robert Pattinson. The director talked about him too, mentioning what happened when he met up with the actor while also mentioning Stewart.

"I met [Pattinson] in London at a very early stage before I shot Sils Maria while I was still working on the screenplay for my next film, but I knew I wanted him for the leading role," Assayas said. "We had a long conversation in London about the project. That's also one of the first times I met Kristen. She was around."
