It seems like a big name actor was immensely impressed with the latest Marvel movie so much that he has now shown at interest in getting a role in one. But where could he fit within the studio universe?

Director Says More Female Characters On The Way For 'Guardians 2,' But Who Will Show Up?

Acting legend Al Pacino spoke with Deadline on Wednesday and "gushed" about his love for James Gunn's Guardians of the Galaxy. Pacino wasn't initially interested, but took his young children to go see the Chris Pratt-led blockbuster.

"It was not something I would readily go see, but my kids got me to go, and one has to draw the line at where prejudice starts and where it ends - that was good stuff!" Pacino said.

"I recognized the ingenious stuff they were doing; the invention, the attractiveness of the way they were performing it. It had Shakespearian feeling to it at times. I was caught up in the big screen, the great sound."

But could that mean Pacino would be up to joining the Marvel universe? It seems like he could be interested depending on the right circumstances. "I would do anything that I could understand in terms of how I fit in it. And you know, of course if I could fit in it. Anything's possible," the actor said.

With the father of Peter Quill (Pratt) being teased in the last one, and Gunn talking about opening up that story in the next movie, could Pacino be the right man to be that "a--hole" that they was referring to?

Pacino certainly has the age down, and having an acting legend join the cast would be salivating in the minds of Marvel executives, but it would be interesting if they could rope him in to do it.

It is a possibility, and Pacino could always work into other movies maybe a more villainous role similar to Robert Redford in Winter Soldier or going toe to toe with Robert Downey Jr. in an Iron Man movie.

Guardians 2 is set to open in theaters on July 28, 2017.
