Mark Ruffalo has been well-received in the role of Bruce Banner/Hulk since taking over for Edward Norton in The Avengers, but the actor has yet to earn his own standalone movie and is set to reprise the role again the movie's sequel. But could a team-up happen to possibly help Hulk gain a movie of his own?

War Machine Could Be The New Iron Man In Next Movie

In an interview with USA Today on Tuesday, Iron Man himself, Robert Downey Jr., talked about giving Black Widow, Hawkeye and Hulk their own movies.

"The funny thing is honestly at this point everyone deserves a franchise. I think Jeremy Renner is - when folks see the Avengers: Age of Ultron he's just a rockstar, a bada--. And Ruffalo is pumped. He does great (work)," Downey Jr. said.

Mandarin Could Be Bigger, More Fearsome In 'Iron Man 4'

"I'd like to hear them talk even more seriously about a Hulk franchise, because that's been one of the toughest ones to get right. But I'm sure that my parent company is feeling expansive and and bold after the summer they've had."

Could joining up with Iron Man help the Hulk show to Marvel and audiences that he deserves his own movie? There have been rumors that Iron Man could travel to space and meet up with the Guardians of the Galaxy sometime, which could mean the Hulk could tag along.

Or he could be apart of whatever villain and trouble Tony Stark is facing on Earth in his own movie. The two have shown to have good chemistry, and events of Avengers 2 withstanding, could meet up to fight alongside each other in the next movie.

Remember how Hulk was the guy Tony recounted the whole story of Iron Man 3 to? It would also allow Marvel to see how people respond to the Hulk being alongside only one other hero instead of multiple.
