It seems like two men in charge of the Captain America franchise know where Marvel is headed past Phase 3 and think it could be just as great as the first two.

Could A Phase 1 Marvel Villain Make A Return In The Next Set Of 'Captain America' Movies?

Joe and Anthony Russo, directors of Captain America 3, talked to Cinema Blend on Friday about the future of Marvel and revealed that they know much about what will be happening in Phase 3 and keep in contact with Kevin Feige on ideas.

"Everything is interconnected. We're all friends, and we're all geeks. We love to share ideas and inspire each other," Joe said.

A New Team Assembled At The End Of 'Avengers 2' Could Influence 'Cap 3' Plot

"And Kevin [Feige] is great about making sure all of us are up to speed on the current drafts of future stuff. Especially if it's a character who you are working with, or something that you might be doing."

The brothers added that they spent time in London on the set of Age of Ultron and keep up with other future projects like Ant-Man and Doctor Strange in order to keep continuity going throughout the films.

This strategy has seemed to work for Marvel as they have brought out nothing but hits since the first Iron Man movie and since they have begun to string together all their movies, the money has continued to go up. It also allows fans to keep up with little characters and moments that happen between movies as a sort of meta-humor.

With Phase 3 possibly culminating in the reveal of Thanos to The Avengers and a meeting with Ant-Man and the Guardians of the Galaxy, things could be getting crazy at Marvel.

Captain America 3 is set to open in theaters on May 6, 2016.
