David Tennant Questions Killer's Identity In New 'Gracepoint' Featurette

The new detective will move into Gracepoint just as the town's biggest mystery comes to light, and Ellie Miller (Anna Gunn) won't be too pleased about his sudden appearance. Away on vacation when Carver (David Tennant) was hired, Miller returned to find that the promotion she had worked so hard for was snatched from her grasp.

"He's leading the investigation, but he's from outside Gracepoint. He's new in town," Tennant explained in a new featurette. "Immediately there is a bit of tension between Ellie and Carver."

Miller won't be the only one to rail against the newbie. The residents of the close-knit small town will take more kindly to Miller, case-in-point Nick Nolte's Jack Reinhold.

"It's a town that welcomes outsiders and they don't ask questions," Nolte said in a TV Guide featurette. "When you begin to ask questions in a small town like this, it becomes very complicated because everybody's interrelated in one way or another and accusations go down."
