It looks as though audiences will be seeing less of Ramona Singer in the next season of the Real Housewives of New York. Rumor has it that the reality television star has been fired from her current role and will be appearing on a much smaller, reoccurring part on the show.

Ramona Singer's Husband Still Cheating On Her With His Mistress?

According to US Weekly on Friday, Singer's demotion signals a big shake-up in the cast, as Bravo execs are looking to bring in new women to help improve the show's sinking ratings.

An insider tells the magazine, "Bravo is casting the show around Heather Thomson and Kristen Taekman and Carole Radziwill. When Ramona carried the show, that is why ratings plummeted, they think.

Why Did Ramona Singer Send Kasey Dexter A Threatening Letter?

In addition, the source adds that Singer's $600,000 paycheck per season was also a reason why she got axed from the show.

Just last month, the blonde beauty announced her divorce after 20 years of marriage to Mario Singer and it looked like she tried to cash in on the statement, too.

Ramona was forced to make the announcement via her Twitter account in August after there were no takers from the press.

A source told Radar Online, "Ramona personally called several reporters, offering to sell the exclusive announcement about the split. She was seeking $2,500, but no one bit. Even reducing the price to $500 didn't generate any interest."

The source added, "It's just bizarre that after shutting down any discussion of Mario's alleged cheating on the Real Housewives of New York reunion, Ramona was now willing to talk - for a price."

Ramona made the announcement to her 423,000 Twitter followers.

"I have decided to move on with my life without Mario. I tried my best to make my marriage work," the Real Housewives of New York City star wrote. "I am excited for the new chapter in my life."
