People magazine has confirmed that Robert Pattinson has moved out of the Los Angeles home he shared with girlfriend Kristen Stewart. The 26-year-old actor packed his things even after Stewart, 22, made a very public apology for cheating on Pattinson with Rupert Sanders, 41, director of "Snow White and the Huntsman."

Stewart told People magazine on July 25, "I'm deeply sorry for the hurt and embarrassment I've caused to those close to me and everyone this has affected. This momentary indiscretion has jeopardized the most important thing in my life, the person I love and respect the most, Rob. I love him, I love him, I'm so sorry."

A source close to the couple told the magazine that the British actor is "heartbroken and angry" and that it is possible the couple might not be able to recover.

In a BlackBook magazine interview posted on the web last week, Pattinson denied rumors that he and Stewart were engaged though he did say, "At least, not yet."

"But it is true that Kristen has always done something to me that others haven't," Pattinson added at the end of that same statement.

The couple of three years met on the set of the first "Twilight" film and took their Bella and Edward romance off camera.

Many Twitter fans are devastated by Stewart's actions. E! News quoted mindlesss_Xo that posted, "OH HELLLLL NO. KRISTEN STEWART CHEATED ON MAH BEW WITH SOME DIRECTOR. SHE'S SUPPOSED TO BE GOOD TO ROBERT PATTINSON, his luscious self." Some fans expressed disappointment, anger and annoyance with not only the fact that Stewart cheated, but that it was with a married man.

Sanders is married to British model and actress Liberty Ross, with whom they have two children.

Photos of Sanders and the "Twilight" star were displayed on the recent cover of Us Weekly.  The inside spread showed photos of the two cozying up with Sanders wrapping his arms around her waist.
