Their livelihoods were at stake with Stefano's (Joseph Mascolo) imminent return to Salem, but a slight exaggeration lead to a major lie on behalf of Kate (Lauren Koslow) and Sami (Allison Sweeney)-and now they could prevent the DiMera patriarch from coming back to town for some time on Days of Our Lives.

Kate and Sami Block Stefano's Return To Salem?

After meeting up with Rafe (Galen Gering) ahead of Stefano's tax evasion hearing, Kate claimed that Stefano had threatened her actual life-and dragged Sami into the lie by saying she heard him do it. If Stefano is found guilty of threatening murder, he could be kept from returning as CEO of his company for a long time-keeping Kate and Sami firmly in place as the heads of it.

However, though Sami was initially out for revenge against virtually everyone with a DiMera name because of E.J.'s (James Scott) affair, she has since softened a bit-and will not feel right about lying so drastically. As a result, Kate will need to pressure her business partner into going along with things, reminding her that Stefano could be capable of having them killed-even if it isn't something he is actively planning to do.

Jordan Asks Rafe For A Favor

Meanwhile, Rafe's love life could once again start looking up, as Jordan (Chrishell Stause) is beginning to soften towards her former beau again. After their romance was tinged for months by Jordan's secrets of the past, she finally opened up to him-just as he confessed to sleeping with Kate after his sister went to prison. Heartbroken and upset, Jordan ended things.

However, now she may begin having a change of heart, and could finally give him another chance to prove his devotion to her.
