It looks as though Tori Spelling's financial situation might be going from bad to worse as the actress might be finding herself unemployed once again. There are new rumors indicating that her ABC Family Show, Mystery Girls, might be on the chopping block after just one season on the air.

According to Radar Online on Tuesday, the show will not be renewed for a second season, although it's still not confirmed on whether or not it will be canceled altogether.

There's speculation that the show is being axed because of poor ratings. Spelling, who stars in the show with actress Jennie Garth, only managed to bring in 0.76 million viewers when the show debuted back in June, with that number plummeting to only 500,000 viewers for the season finale last month.

Meanwhile, there's speculation that Spelling might be rebranding herself to help boost her career again as an actress.

Spelling, who recently stared in her reality show True Tori with her husband Dean McDermott, is said to be not only fed up with her marriage, but her lack of work proposals as well. Insiders say she wants to dive back into more projects similar to Mystery Girls.

A source close to the 41-year-old actress, who recently changed her Twitter handle from @ToriandDean to simply @ToriSpelling, told In Touch magazine: ''This is the social media equivalent of a separation. Dean was part of her brand. Now she's adroitly rebranding herself with out.''

The insider added: ''If I were Dean, I'd be worried. This is one of the first steps in Tori asserting her independence, but it's an important one.''

Previously, it was reported that the couple was in such a dire financial situation that their only source of income came from their reality television show.
