Michael Weatherly Teases NCIS: New Orleans Crossover

The 21-year-old actress will guest star on the anticipated NCIS spinoff in New Orleans, JustJared.com reported.

The website noted that Marano will portray Natalie, "a sophomore college student who is described as beautiful, smart, sympathetic and sweet, and somewhat of an old soul. But her world is shaken once she wakes up next to a murdered young man. After it's revealed that Natalie is a collegiate call-girl, her naive demeanor shifts and she changes into a capable young woman who can handle herself."

The New Orleans spinoff, which places emphasis on the lively city, stars Scott Bakula as Dwayne "King" Pride. The 59-year-old dished about his character.

"My character is definitely not undercover. He's got relationships with the politicians in town or the cop on the beat that he worked with 15 years ago, when he was with the New Orleans police department, before joining NCIS," the actor told TVGuide.com.

"Pride has a certain amount of notoriety in New Orleans, so when he walks into a bar, people turn and say, 'Hey, Dwayne' or 'Hey, King.' That's part of his - no pun intended - pride, doing what he does for the city and caring about it."

NCIS: New Orleans will kick off right after the season 12 premiere of NCIS on Tuesday, Sept. 23.
