The preview for the upcoming episode of season 2 of Ray Donovan shows Ray (Liev Schrieber) getting more tangled up in trouble as things spiral out of control.

"Kate confronts Ray about his past," is the tag line the promo for episode 10 runs with, albeit the clip does not focus on any revelatory verbal exchange between Ray and the Boston Globe reporter, investigating Sully's death. But Kate (Vinessa Shaw) and Ray are seen in a motel room together, and in a fit of anger he is seen attempting to choke her, as she says, "You going to kill me, Ray?"

Most of the video runs to a version of Johnny Cash's God's Gonna Cut You Down. It brings out the main image of Ray being on the run, from all his problems and all of his enemies closing in on him.

Liev Schreiber Makes TV Directing Debut With Season 2 Of Ray Donovan  

Recently, Entertainment Weekly reported that the show runner Ann Biderman had decided to step down and will not be leading the cast and crew for the third season of the Showtime series. The writer and producer won't be completely vanishing, though, she will continue with Ray Donovan in the role of creative consultant.

As the show was recenty picked up for its third season, the producers are now in talks with writer and executive producer David Hollander to take Biderman's position.

The second season premiered on July 13.

The next episode of Ray Donovan will air on Sunday, September 13 at 8 pm ET/PT on Showtime.
