Miranda Lambert has been moving non-stop since her latest album, Platinum, was released back in June. While her husband and fellow country artist Blake Shelton debuted his new single Neon Light last week, his record doesn't come out until the end of the month. As a result, Shelton's had some time for a little fun while he awaits the release.

Blake Shelton Sings To Navy Family

The superstar decided to spend his time pranking visitors at a California Pizza Hut, according to Dallas News on Tuesday. Dressed as an employee named "Stephen" the musician manned the register and took orders in a red and black uniform with a baseball cap.

It seems Shelton has a working relationship with the location, having filmed his Pizza Hut ad there back in May.

Of course, some customers caught on to the trick pretty quickly.

"This has to be something…cause it's freaking me out…" insisted one woman. You're Blake Shelton."

"I truly am…Stephen," replied Shelton humbly, though after the joke was over he posed with fans for a few pictures.

As for Shelton's wife Lambert, she's been more than a little busy with public engagements this week. The singer performed at the Fashion Rocks concert on Tuesday night in Brooklyn, N.Y. CMT reported that the Lambert has become a major icon on the red carpet over the last few months, shifting from country star to a superstar whose image transcends genre.

Recently Lambert was nominated for nine CMA Awards, nearly twice as many as her husband, who couldn't be prouder of her achievement.

Shelton's new album Bringing Back the Shine hits stores September 30, 2014.
