Robert Pattinson Kristen Stewart Break Up? What's Going On With Rob Amid Cheating Scandal

Many fans are wondering what's going on with Robert Pattinson after his girlfriend of more than three years Kristen Stewart admitted to an affair with "Snow White" director Rupert Sanders this week.

Pattinson is reportedly "horrified" that Stewart released a public apology to him because the couple had kept their relationship private for a long time.

"He is still in total shock," a source close to both actors told the Chicago Sun Times, "but Rob is a very, very proud man - and Kristen knew how he feels about remaining faithful, loyalty and commitment. ... He also was horrified that she issued a public apology to him."

"I'm sure he will be able to forgive her - eventually. But he will never forget, and that could be a big stumbling block to him letting her back into his personal life,"the source told the paper.

Another source quoted by People magazine said Pattinson was "heartbroken and angry" after finding out about the affair and said: "I'm not sure they'll be able to recover from this."

Stewart, 22, released a public apology yesterday where she said "Rob" was the most important thing in her life.

"I'm deeply sorry for the hurt and embarrassment I've caused to those close to me and everyone this has affected. This momentary indiscretion has jeopardized the most important thing in my life, the person I love and respect the most, Rob. I love him, I love him, I'm so sorry."

But her apology has somehow lost credibility among fans of the actors as more pictures of her and Sanders caught in the act were unveiled by Us Weekly today. In one, Stewart is clearly shown inside a car with Sanders, wearing Pattinsons L.A. Dodgers baseball cap.

Fans have stormed Twitter, Facebook and online message boards with negative comments against Stewart for cheating on Pattinson with a married man.

A photographer told Us Weekly that the pair seemed that couldn't get "enough" of themselves.

"She betrayed RPats and broke up a family.  There's a slight difference.  I hope karma bites her in the future when she's married with 2 kids and her husband cheats on her with someone almost half his age.  What goes around comes around," a username "Guest" wrote on Us Weekly's message board.

Pattinson moved out from a Los Angeles home he shared with Stewart today, according to People Magazine.
