Raj (Kunal Nayyar) will still feel the excitement of having a girlfriend when Season 8 of CBS's The Big Bang Theory premieres at the end of the month.

The Big Bang Theory show runner Steve Molaro spoke with TVLine recently about Raj and Emily (Laura Spencer), particularly how Raj feels about the relationship.

"He's very much in the giddy, 'OK, I have a girlfriend and she's really cute and she likes me phase. And I get to see her naked,'" Molaro said. "They are still in the honeymoon of that. And as we got through the season, we will explore more of her personality and what she's really like."

The Big Bang Theory's Sheldon Taking 'Baby Steps' With Amy; No Plan In Place For Marriage

It seems that The Big Bang Theory will be focused quite significantly on relationships between the nerds and their respective girlfriends through Season 8. In addition to Raj and Emily, Leonard (Johnny Galecki) and Penny (Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting) are even happier with their relationship, considering they are now engaged to be married.

Molaro previously said that a Leonard-Penny wedding probably wouldn't be happening anytime soon and that they would stay engaged for a while.

"I can't say for sure [a wedding will not happen this season], but I doubt it," Molaro admitted. "They're in a great place. They're the kind of couple where they can be engaged for a while and that's fine."

Meanwhile, Sheldon (Jim Parsons) and Amy (Mayim Bialik) are okay with where they are, relationship-wise. Amy will be helping Leonard retrieve Sheldon from Arizona in the Season 8 premiere after he hopped on a train out of Pasadena.

The Big Bang Theory Season 8 is set to premiere Monday, Sept. 22 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on CBS.
