According to MTV UK on Thursday, Payne and Tomlinson aren't going anywhere. "Just having each of us, let's be honest I personally don't think I'd be able to do it as a solo artist," Tomlinson said at a press conference after the group announced their new album titled Four. "It's very intense and hard to comprehend, so it's good to be able to speak to people who obviously know exactly what you personally are going through."

Although Payne didn't address himself going solo in the future, he did agree with Tomlinson. "Yeah and it's nice to have somebody there every day who's going through exactly the same stuff you are," he said. "It's beautiful being in this position but it's also difficult at times. It's nice to have guys you can turn to."
