George Clooney openly declared his love for his fiancée Amal Alamuddin during the Celebrity Fight Night charity event over the weekend in Italy.

"I've met my bride-to-be here in Italy and I will be married in Italy soon, in a couple of weeks, in Venice, of all places," the 53-year-old told the crowd. "In closing I would just like to say to my bride-to-be, Amal, that I love you very much and I can't wait to be your husband."

A guest at the party told E! News that Alamuddin was in awe by his words. "She seemed so touched and overwhelmed and at that moment they looked right at each other and it was as if there was no one else in the room," the source said.

Ashley Tisdale Gets Married, See The Photos

It's pretty rare to see Clooney gushing over a lady. In fact, last year the Academy Award winner told Esquire magazine, "I haven't had aspirations in that way, ever. I was married in 1989. I wasn't very good at it."

"I was quoted as saying I'll never get married again pretty much right after I got divorced and then I've never talked about it since," the Gravity actor said about actress Talia Balsam, whom he was married to from 1989 to 1993.

Although Clooney publicly dated several women after his marriage ended, he never tied the knot again. Now, Clooney and the 36-year-old lawyer, who got engaged in April, are expected to say "I do" in September.
