The pair released the duet back in June, and since then the song has gotten quite a bit of critical and commercial attention on its way to being a country hit.

"She just brings such passion when she sings," said McGraw of his wife in an interview with CMT on Thursday.

In addition to Hill's amazing talent, McGraw felt that this song in particular was the right one for them to share together. Between the content and the music, it seems like a good fit.

"That song is just so nostalgic," explained the singer, "And then to have Faith sing on it just was the icing on the cake. Because she grew up sort of in the same area as I did…We both related to that so much that you can just tell that, I guess, in the song."

McGraw and Hill elected to film the music video for the single at their own home in Nashville, Tenn., which allowed the pair to spend some time together in their own environment before McGraw had to go out on tour. Between performances, award shows, and raising three daughters, the couple relished in the opportunity to be at home together.

McGraw's new album Sundown Heaven Town hits stores September 16, 2014.
