Country superstar Carrie Underwood may have only announced last week that she and husband Mike Fisher are expecting their first child, but it seems some close friends heard about the baby before the singer went public.

Carrie Underwood Breaks Down On Stage During ACM Speech

On Wednesday Kimberly Perry, frame vocalist from The Band Perry, told E! that she, along with her band-brothers Neil and Reed, were told about the pregnancy prior to the formal reveal.

"Well, you know Carrie is a dear friend of ours and she was at my wedding, she and Mike," explained the singer. "We actually heard the news a little bit early before the rest of the world did and we are just so thrilled for them."

"They are just such great human beings," continued Kimberly, "And they are going to be great parents."

In addition to doting on her friend and fellow artist, Kimberly also informed E! that her band had given Underwood a special offer upon hearing that she was expecting.

"We told them we would babysit if they ever need us to," Kimberly admitted. "So we are here, give us a call."

Underwood announced that she and NHL husband Fisher were expecting an addition to their little family last Monday on Twitter. The singer shared a snugly pic of her and her two dogs, Ace and Penny, in revealing the big news.

At this time, Underwood and Fisher have revealed no further plans regarding names, a due date, or whether they are hoping for a boy or girl.
