Olympic gymnast McKayla Maroney as well as plenty of other female celebrities were victims of a nude photo scandal this week where it appears that the hacker might be trying to sell the images.

On Wednesday, The Epoch Times posted the information from a Reddit user who dished on a Fappening Report account that showed up on Twitter, claiming it had new pictures. This Reddit user contacted the account via email to find out some more details, and whoever running it is reportedly wanting $250 for most sets.

The account apparently claims it has photos of Maroney along with Avril Lavigne, Kaley Cuoco and Aubrey Plaza.

"Started a thread on [4chan] and it sounded like 3-5 other members may have bought sets or not," the Reddit user said. "Anyone have any knowledge about this? He wants western union or moneygram. Leap of faith? Should we start a kickstart? FBI honeypot? Thoughts?"

According to The Epoch Times, there has been some debate about this mysterious account if it's real or if it might be an FBI sting operation.

"He's asking for people to pay in one of the most traceable ways possible," the Reddit user said. "He's either very stupid and doesn't know what he is doing or it's a trap."

He also mentioned that if anyone has tried to buy any of these alleged photos, then it's probably being kept a secret.

Maroney hasn't posted anything on her Instagram nor Twitter page ever since the scandal took place.
