It looks like music sensation Mariah Carey might be dealing with a dark and difficult time right now due to the reported split with Nick Cannon.

On Thursday, Hollywood Life posted a story on the singer and how the people who care about her are apparently really concerned for her.

"Family and close friends are worried about her," a source told the site. "She's a loose cannon and feels humiliated. She's too caught up with what others think of her. And she does have a past of self-destructive behavior. She needs professional help and tons of support right now."

This ought to cause the public to worry along with Carey's loved ones that she might do something to hurt herself. One can only hope at this point that she will do what she can to make sure that she stays on her feet especially since the site pointed out that Cannon might be feeling the opposite way. He was spotted at the Ainsworth earlier this week where he was reportedly living it up with DJ Vice.

"He was partying and having a great time," the source said. "He didn't look like someone who was reeling from a breakup. But he stuck with water, he turned down shots and alcohol each time it was offered to him."

There was a report from Radar Online that said that Cannon might be ready to move on and that he's "so over all of this drama."
